I purchased two units, CPE 2000 and the parallel from Costco for my class C and have no complaints. I am at 6k feet and have no issues. Quiet as a mouse in Econ mode and runs my AC, two coffee pots a four cupper coffee unit and my one cup Keurig, a 22" Flat screen dvd/tv, Water Pump, refrigerator and all the lights at the same time with two units. When I add the microwave it begins to bog down, so I turn off the air to Fan and then run the microwave. I took one of them over to a fifth wheel and it ran the air, tv, refrigerator, stereo and all the lights, but would not take the microwave unless I turned off the air. I did not try the coffee pot. So basically I did not need two but for the price of 830 including tax it was a deal.
I estimated the DBA at approximately 21 feet and it is appears to be 53 if the exhaust is facing away from you. An RV Ma and Pop business owner and friend was surprised at how easily it functioned and how quiet it was while we tested it. He was going to buy one for his fifth wheel and his work shop when he teched out used RV's for resale. Also, keep in mind the average human conversation is 60DBA. If the unit is sitting sideway to you DBA increases to approximately +2-3 DBA to 55-56 and if the exhaust is facing you +5-6 DBA 58-59, either way it is extremely quiet in the Econ mode or regular. Takes regular gas, 10w-30 oil, although I run Amsoil synthetic 20-50 in it for now and it holds one gallon of gas and is supposed to last nine hours. I have not run it that long so not sure. For the price and my needs it is a great buy. I researched Champion on the internet which has videos comparing models and it stands up good enough for my needs. I do not plan on running a circle saw with it as in some video's. Additionally, Champion has NEVER had a recall on this product and from what I have learned cannot say the same about the other competitors with their high prices i.e., almost a thousand dollars more for one unit to do basically the same thing... As far as I know none of them at the 2000 Watt level will run an AC and microwave at the same time so why spend the extra money when I can turn the AC to fan or turn it off to microwave. For me, the Champion serves my needs for the value of the dollar. After reading about the Champion Inverter generators I knew they were exactly what I was looking for at the cost I wanted. I picked up two of these used for the price of one at a Costco return warehouse.
We use the generator when tent camping to power any devices we want to bring along (TV, radio, phone/camera chargers, laptop, air compressor, grey water evaporator, etc). With the exception of hooking up the air compressor when 4-wheeling, I never run them at full power, running them at the 25% "econ" setting while managing the wattage of the devices I hook up to the generator. Even though the gas tank only holds one gallon I truly get at least 9 hours of use at the econ setting. They are so quiet at that setting I don't worry about disturbing the neighbors at all. Even at full power it is fairly quiet. Plus it generates much less exhaust than the noisy generators that are equipped on most RVs. When those RV generators are running you can't even hear the Champion.
On a recent trip to a well-known desert art festival we took both generators, one to keep as a backup in case the other failed due to the high heat and/or alkali dust environment (usually we only take one when camping). I used only one of the generators the entire week we were there, running it during the hottest time of the day continuously for 3-6 hours, often in dusty conditions that had us wearing goggles and N95 dust masks. The little Champion powered on without so much as a hiccup.

The only time the generator was hard to start was when when I failed to shut off the fuel following use, basically flooding the engine. If you religiously follow the easy startup and shutdown procedures, ensuring you shut off the fuel after use, the generator will always start on the first pull. This is a great little generator for what we use it for.

I purchased one of these from Costco last week after reading reviews on here and other sites. I knew what to expect and did not have high expectations. Pulled it out of the box, filled the oil, threw some gas in and it fired right up. I had seen another persons test's on here so did my own as well. Plugged in a work light, can't recall the watt/amp draw, and then plugged in my 13 amp circ saw, overloaded of course, but pulled the light and started the saw by itself and it worked just fine.
Took it camping this past weekend and found that it kicked off when we hooked it up right away, doing to the fridge being on auto. Shut everything off in the RV, kicked it on and started going one by one. It did run my microwave, sputtered a little at the beginning, but ended up working out, have to make sure you don't have much else on to do so, but it did work.
Very pleased with the product and the price, we returned from camping Sunday, Monday I ran out and bought a second one, jumped online and bought the parallel kit, can't wait to go camping again and see what it can do.

Very Quite operation, friends were impressed and are looking to pick one up as well. As long as you take your time to turn stuff on and off and don't have to much kicking right off the bat you should be good to go.
Only con I can really thing of is the oil fill area. One had a little drip guard the other didn't. I think they could have extended the nipple out a little further to make easier, though it is nice they include the funnel.
Highly recommend this unit as long as your not going to try and compare it to a name brand anyways. It's not and as most reviews have said, it gives you the basics.

This review is geared toward people who go "dry camping" with people who don't like "roughing" it...
I recently purchased this generator for my lightweight hybrid camper after debating about it for months. I tend to be long-winded about these things so let me say up front that my only regret with this purchase is that I waited too long. The generator is everything that it's represented to be. I love it.

I purchased my unit for "dry" camping in the boondocks (no power or other hookups) with a wife who likes her bathroom, her shower, and her kitchen gadgets like the coffee maker.
This unit will not run the typcial RV AC unit, but the fact is you should know that.
Neither the manufacturer nor the retailer ever make that claim. In fact, Champion advertises (recommends) a single 2,000-watt unit for "tent camping." Obviously, you can parallel this unit with a kit and a second unit for more demanding use (like pulling the AC unit on your RV.) Even if your needs dictate that you have to go this route, you'll still end up spending less than buying one of the "name-brand" 2000-watt generators, if you shop smart.
We camp a lot in The Great Smoky Mountains National Park where we don't typically need to run an AC unit, day or night. What we do need (and what this generator is appropriate for) is a two- or three- hour (or more) unintrusive (quiet) charge for our deep-cycle battery sets before they get too low, for a small electric coffee maker, and for small kitchen appliances (like my wife's "smoothy" maker.)
