Not that long ago a new 42 inch television for around £380.00 was impossible to buy. In fact i remember paying that much for a Philips 24 inch CRT about a decade ago. For the money this LG television is a good buy. It can be wall-mounted at extra cost, i just used the base that came in the box. The fact that the base swivels either left or right is a useful design feature. The picture is very good in standard and HD mode. I located the tv in a spare bedroom as an extra set to be used when the main lounge television is in use for something i don't want to watch :)
